Ticketing Terms

Effective August 3, 2026

These terms apply whenever you buy a ticket or reserve a VIP table through The Night App, alongside our general Terms of Service.

Who’s responsible for what

A ticket or VIP table you buy is a contract between you and the venue hosting the event. The Night App is the platform that facilitates the purchase and takes a platform fee — we’re not the seller of the ticket, and we don’t control the venue’s pricing, event details, or door policy. Payment processing itself is handled by Stripe.

Price, fees, and payment

Ticket and VIP table prices are set by the venue and shown to you before you pay. Where a platform fee applies, it’s shown in the checkout total before you confirm — we don’t add hidden charges after purchase. Payment is taken at the time of purchase via Stripe; we never see or store your card number.

Confirmation

After a successful purchase, your ticket or table confirmation (including a QR code for entry) is available in the app under My Tickets, or by email if you purchased as a guest without an account.

Refunds and cancellation

Refund eligibility is set by the individual venue, not The Night App — check the event listing for the venue’s specific policy where one is shown. To request a refund, use the option on your ticket in the app, or contact the venue directly; the venue reviews and decides on refund requests. Where a refund is approved, it’s processed back to your original payment method via Stripe.

Event cancellation or postponement

If a venue cancels an event outright and it isn’t rescheduled, you’re entitled to a full refund of what you paid — this isn’t optional on the venue’s part, and if the venue doesn’t process it promptly, contact us and we’ll facilitate the refund via Stripe directly. Beyond that refund, resolving or communicating a cancellation or postponement is the venue’s responsibility, and The Night App isn’t responsible for other losses (travel, accommodation, or otherwise) resulting from it.

No 14-day withdrawal right

Because a ticket or VIP table booking is for a specific date and time (a leisure service tied to a fixed period of performance), it’s exempt from the standard 14-day “cooling off” withdrawal right that normally applies to online purchases under EU consumer law. Once your purchase is confirmed, you can’t cancel it simply by changing your mind — see “Refunds and cancellation” above for what refund options are actually available.

Entry, age, and ID requirements

Entry requirements — including minimum age and ID checks — are set and enforced by the venue at the door, not by The Night App. A valid ticket or table booking doesn’t guarantee entry if you don’t meet the venue’s own door policy (for example, an age or dress code requirement). Check the event listing or the venue directly for its specific requirements.

Guest list conditions

Being on a guest list is a request the venue approves or declines at its own discretion — it isn’t a purchase and doesn’t guarantee entry the way a paid ticket does. Venues can set their own conditions for guest list approval.

VIP tables and no-shows

VIP table bookings are tied to the party size and details you provide at booking. Venues may apply their own no-show policy (for example, releasing a table after a set grace period) — check the event listing or venue directly. If you can’t attend, cancel or transfer your booking (where the venue allows it) as early as possible.

Chargebacks and fraud

Filing a chargeback for a ticket or table you actually received, instead of requesting a refund through the venue first, may result in your account being suspended. We reserve the right to refuse service or cancel a purchase we reasonably believe involves fraud.

No guarantee of experience

The Night App doesn’t guarantee the quality, atmosphere, or any specific experience of an event or venue — a ticket confirms your entry arrangement, not an outcome.
